About the Course:
What is Pondering with Purpose?
We know it’s important to put quality materials into students’ hands, but then what? Get kids talking, interacting, analyzing, and deeply understanding content with strategies to get all types of learners engaged. Integrate diverse activities to keep kids involved. Find ways to encourage reluctant students and second-language learners to have conversations about content. When kids can put learning into their own words, it becomes theirs for a lifetime. Let’s give them lots to take with them when they leave school.
Participants will learn about and experience a collection of strategies to take back for immediate implementation in the classroom. Lots of science examples, but strategies are applicable across the curriculum.
